Today....

I think I "made" two people's days. Well, I know at least one, hopefully two.

When I was down in the cities I drove past a guy holding a cardboard sign that said "Ex-Vet...living outside...anything will help."

Ok, just break my heart why don'tcha?! I was on my way to get a Caribou and feeling guilty about my splurge, so while I was there I got him a $10 gift card so he could get a cup of coffee for a few days hopefully. And I grabbed one of their lip balms too, figuring if he really IS living outside, that might be a nice little thing to have. And I stuck another $10 in the gift card thingie so he could get a burger or something (hopefully not liquor or drugs). He seemed very appreciative when I drove past and gave it to him.

Doug says he probably walked a block at the end of the day and got into his Escalade or something. Dang it...don't dash my "feel good" feeling!! That could be the case, and if so, then, whatever. But if he really did need help, then I feel like I helped a little, for a little while he'll have some coffee and maybe a meal or two.

Then I dropped off a bag of soap at the bank...we went in and talked with a lady (needed a notary) the other day and she is so nice, she commented on how I smelled (good, I hope!) and we started talking about soap and she asked me for a business card. So today I surprised her with a bunch of bars for her and all the tellers there....Happy New Year! She was so excited and said that I made her day! Made me smile.

So it was a great day for me, had a couple "feel good" moments, and that's what I really love!
